We are excited to see the National Center for High-performance Computing of National Applied Research Laboratories (NCHC of NARLabs) and Taiwan Business Bank using open source technologies to break through barriers with innovations in their digital journey.
With two breakout tracks focused on platform strategy and application development, the event gathers business professionals and open source enthusiasts across Taiwan.
Red Hat Forum is Red Hat’s annual open source technology event in the region, where Asia Pacific leaders, technical experts, and industry professionals share forward-looking ideas and strategies for digital transformation, as well as experience live demos and partner online exhibitions. The event gathers business professionals and open source enthusiasts from across Taiwan.
This year’s agenda curated content for two types of audiences. The platform strategy track focused on IT departments, data centers, and platform owners, sharing the essentials for maintaining a consistent platform experience across infrastructure environments. The application development track targeted application owners, line-of-business users and developers, discussing how to effectively deploy and manage applications through Red Hat platforms and get them up to production more quickly.
During the event, Irene Sun, general manager for Red Hat Taiwan, shared her observations of how Red Hat enables digital transformation for Taiwanese organizations. Organizations need to develop agility to respond to customer needs as well as reduce costs of trial and error while maintaining service stability. According to Sun, open hybrid cloud, cloud native, and IT automation are the three critical elements of digital transformation.
Another highlight of the Red Hat Forum Taiwan was the online demo by Asia Pacific technology experts. Recognizing that many industrial customers are actively seeking integration of new and legacy applications and systems to accelerate their development process, Red Hat IT experts suggested an open hybrid cloud strategy to deliver software solutions on any infrastructure and demonstrated the process of system migration, deep diving into the journey of modernization through Red Hat solutions.
Key Red Hat solutions showcased in Red Hat Forum Taiwan 2021 included:
- Capabilities to manage and scale Red Hat OpenShift clusters through Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes.
- Adopting Red Hat Advanced Cluster Security for Kubernetes to integrate DevOps tools and workflows, providing tools to enhance security and compliance.
- Portfolio of Red Hat OpenShift that helps to accelerate development and delivery of cloud-native applications, efficiently building responsive, scalable, and fault-tolerant apps.
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform that acts as the key to IT automation strategy, providing automation experiences across an organization and building automated workflows from hybrid cloud to the edge.
