I’ve got 99 problems, but LLMs ain’t one! (Room A)

With 83% of organizations moving workloads back to private cloud or on-premises for privacy and cost concerns, AI is no different. But while many of us have explored running local LLMs on our own machine, scaling things up can be quite difficult. From the difficulty of sourcing hardware, to effective model serving and inference, it’s not always quite clear how to self-host models in production.Fortunately, open source has been leading the AI wave, from models to now the serving runtimes underneath. Curious as to how Meta, Google, DeepSeek, and many others support both small-scale and large-scale model deployments on Linux, Kubernetes, and beyond? Join us as we start from a foundation model, compress it to cut GPU requirements by half and boost performance, and inference it with vLLM, a UC Berkeley-based project that’s leading the private and local AI revolution. You might still have 99 other problems, but LLMs won’t be one!
