(NYSE: RHT), leader mondiale nella fornitura di soluzioni open source, annuncia l’evoluzione della sua strategia Platform-as-a-Service con la disponibilità di OpenShift Enterprise, un prodotto PaaS enterprise-ready pensato per essere installato on-premise presso il data center del cliente o presso cloud pubblici, privati o ibridi. Il prodotto permette ai clienti di semplificare e standardizzare il flusso di lavoro degli sviluppatori, riducendo i tempi di fornitura dei servizi IT che possono così meglio supportare le esigenze di business. Questo annuncio completa i piani PaaS annunciati da Red Hat nel maggio 2012 e dà vita alla prima PaaS on premise aperta e completa per le aziende.
OpenShift Enterprise offre agli utenti l’accesso a una piattaforma applicativa cloud-based, potenziando la capacità delle aziende di sviluppare le applicazioni necessarie e di utilizzarle su architetture cloud. La soluzione automatizza il provisioning e le gestione dei sistemi dello stack applicativo in un modo che consente ai team IT di soddisfare le crescenti esigenze di business di nuovi servizi applicativi. OpenShift Enterprise fornisce inoltre un ambiente di sviluppo, test e hosting di applicazioni on demand, elastico, scalabile e completamente configurato affinché gli sviluppatori possano focalizzarsi sulla codifica di questi nuovi servizi applicativi. OpenShift Enterprise si basa su uno stack comprovato di tecnologie Red Hat open source, tra cui Red Hat Enterprise Linux, JBoss Enterprise Application Platform e OpenShift Origin, il cuore dell’attuale servizio OpenShift PaaS online disponibile in beta gratuita dal maggio 2011. Con l’integrazione di JBoss Enterprise Application Platform 6, OpenShift Enterprise diventa l’unico PaaS on premise certificato Java EE 6 del mercato. OpenShift Enterprise trae vantaggio anche dall’innovazione e dai contributi provenienti dalla community del progetto Origin focalizzata su OpenShift.
